Scholarship for the 2019 Islamic Manuscript Association’s Codicology Conference

The HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Centre of Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge—one of the The Islamic Manuscript Association’s long-time, foundational partners—is pleased to offer a scholarship to cover the fees of the full course (i.e. lectures and hands-on sessions) for one participant. This scholarship is exclusively for Muslim academics, heritage professionals, and researchers who are resident and working in the Islamic world.

To apply, please register for the course as normal and indicate your interest in the scholarship and your understanding and acceptance of the conditions below in the appropriate place on the application form.

The Centre will consider all eligible applicants who have applied for the course by 09.00 GMT on Friday, 14 June 2019, and the Association will announce the Centre’s decision on Monday, 1 July 2019.

Conditions
The Centre of Islamic Studies and the Association expect the scholarship recipient to attend all of the course’s lectures and hands-on sessions. The recipient will be required to write a letter of thanks to the director of the Centre as well as a report about his or her experience on the course. He or she should send electronic and hard copies of these documents to the Association within eight weeks of completing the course. Please be advised that the Centre and the Association may publish the report in print and online. The report should include a passport-style image of the scholarship recipient.
