Graduate Studentships

The Centre of Islamic Studies offers studentships to those undertaking postgraduate study at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge whose research is connected to the mission of the centre. The studentships may be held at the Masters (funded for 1 year) or the PhD level (funded for 3 years). Applicants with relevant research interests are considered automatically as part of the normal application process to pursue postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.

The studentships will make a contribution towards either University of Cambridge and college fees or maintenance fees. The contribution may be partial or the full amount. Successful candidates will be required to take part in the seminars and research and outreach activities of the Centre.

Applications for 2021/22 opened on 01 September 2020 and close on 2 June 2021 (earlier for PhD applicants applying to start in the Easter term).

Successful applicants will be notified by the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.
