Basic Beliefs and Practices of Islam

Duration: 45-60 mins
The session will cover:

  • The meaning of the Islamic creed and articles of belief
  • The five pillars have many dimensions.
  • Islam as a moral and ethical system
  • Islam as an Abrahamic faith tradition
  • Quran & Hadith

Contemporary Debates about Islam

Duration: 45-60 mins

The session will cover:

  • What is Law? What is the Sharia? What is Islamic Law?
  • Women In Islam
  • Practical ethics: issues such as divorce, gender equality, purity, sanctity of life, abortion, attitudes to the environment, punishment, social justice and human rights.

 

Investigating Islam in Britain: Countering Islamophobia

Duration: 45-60 mins

The session will cover:

  • Islam and Muslim societies in Britain
  • Race and culture in contemporary Britain
  • The contributions of Islam and Muslims to British society
  • Migration, media, and Islamophobia

 

Introduction to Arabic Language & Culture

The session will cover:

  • A brief overview of Arab history and Arab cultural values.
  • Introduction to Arabic Language.
  • Arabic & Islamic Arts
