Research is at the heart of the Centre of Islamic Studies’ mission to combine high-quality and innovative research with wider engagement in society. Several of the Centre’s research projects bring together academics, professionals from industry and the third sector, community and faith leaders, policy-makers and opinion-formers. The Centre organises conferences and symposia that bring together scholars and other specialists from an international range of universities and research institutes. These provide an opportunity for in-depth discussion around a specific research theme or set of questions. Some of the proceedings are published by the Centre and available for free download in the publications section.
