The Muslim News Awards for Excellence, 27 March 2017

We are delighted to announce that Dr Mehrunisha Suleman, a research associate at the HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Centre of Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge, was awarded the Ibn Sina prize for health at The Muslim News Awards for Excellence event which was held 27 March 2017 in London to acknowledge British Muslim and non-Muslim contributions to the society. Dr Suleman’s  award recognizes those who excel and promote in health issues.

The Muslim News Awards for Excellence is a high-profile gala ceremony showcasing the best of British Muslim talent and is hosted by The Muslim News, the country’s largest and oldest Muslim newspaper. The newspaper continually works toward giving talented British Muslims the recognition they deserve for making positive contributions in their workplace and communities across the nation.

Prime Minister, Rt Hon Theresa May MP, who has attended the event in the past, said: “These awards are a fixture in our national calendar, and they serve a really important purpose: highlighting the achievements of British Muslims from all around our country.”
